Fine for granola, not for hot cereal
 March 8, 2014
"You would think oatmeal is oatmeal. I usually buy other brands, and I always cook my oatmeal in my microwave. Works fine. Tried NOW, and no matter what settings I used, I could not get it to cook thoroughly. The grains would not fully break down. Tried it on the stovetop, same problem. Finally I gave up and used it for granola, which was fine. A nice thing about this brand is that it has no hulls, which I sometimes find in other brands. But the flakes were half the usual size, as though they'd been broken, and as I said, they wouldn't cook properly. If you're making hot cereal, look elsewhere."
