After I finished writing a book on Crohn's disease I started trying to formulate a snack bar that would fill me up but would also be easy to digest. i wanted a high protein lower fat low glycemic bar that had only a handful of all natural ingredients I could pronounce and no chemicals or ingredients I couldn't. Since their initial launch we have been continually improving the bars: the bar you are holding has less sugar than fiber! There are none o the artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols found in "no sugar" products which can often upset the stomach. We know of no other food bar that compares. For these reasons The Simply Bar is loved not only by athletes vegans and celiacs but also by everyday healthy people who want to make better eating choices. "The ingredients are better than most bars out there although I am not a big fan of eating soy unless it is fermented and would only eat it on occasion. I do like that the sugar grams are very low and the taste which is okay is not sweet. I think this is a very good alternative to the gooey chewy sweet candy type bars that are marketed as healthy."

"This is the best vegan protein bar I've had with the least amount of calories because it is a pretty light bar. It's definitely not very satisfying if you're hungry, so it's just good as a light protein snack."
