"After reading some negative reviews, I must take a minute to say it must depend on the content of the water supply where you live. This product works great in MD where we live. My dishes come out nice and clean, no residue at all. The packets are sometimes a little plump, but with one little push, they fit under the sliding door of the detergent compartment just fine. I buy this product all the time, and am very satisfied."
"It doesn't matter how well this product may clean *other* things off of the dishes when it leaves tiny white soap crystals behind. I tried this twice (two different packets on two different loads of dishes), and I had to re-HAND-wash all of them! Not only did the soap particles stick to the dishes, but they were on the dishes so tightly I had to scrub them off.
I really recommend staying away from this product. The Seventh Generation dishwasher LIQUID is excellent, however! The best I've used."
"I tried 3 or 4 more non-toxic DW detergents and this was the worst of them. They stick to the soap dispenser and don't clean well anyway. Even when I manually opened them up and crumbled them in the tray, they still partially stuck. I couldn't even stand to finish them, though I hate to waste money. Save yourself time and $ and try the Method Smarty Dish kind--First ones I got that really work."
"First, I love Seventh Generation products. I use their liquid dishwashing detergent all the time. It produces lots of suds and cleans as good as it's competitors. Based on that, I thought I'd give the dishwasher tabs a try. When I got them, the tabs were hard as rocks. In order to get them into the dispenser in the dishwasher and be able to close it up I have to smash them down and break them apart otherwise they are like little balls and too fat for the dispenser cup in the dishwasher. Very inconvenient. I don't know if this is a normal problem with these tabs or if the product was stored in humid conditions in Vitacost's warehouse and they harden. As far as their cleaning ability, they clean my dishes just fine so I have no complaints there."
