gentle yet effective

"We have used this bar soap in the bath for over a year now. It lathers nicely (better than liquid castile soaps we have tried). I use a no-poo hair cleansing method, but we occasionally use this bar soap as shampoo for my kids' hair, and it works well (even for girls with long hair).
We also recently started using Kirk's castile soap for making our laundry detergent. We had been using Ivory soap, but switched to Kirk's because of my kids' eczema. It's more difficult to grate, but it actually disolves in the wash better than the Ivory did. And it cleans better too. Just one bar of soap, 1 c. Borax and 1 c. washing soda...voila!"
