Review 1 for If You Care Tall Kitchen Bags Certified Compostable 13 Gallon -- 12 Bags
"We use these in our (plastic) kitchen trash can and have been for about two years now. I have yet to see one rip or tear open as another reviewer complained. There are two of us and we take the trash out once per week. Yes, they are lightweight but we put all kinds of non-recyclables in them and have never had a problem. Maybe their overfilling them??? This isn't a "stretch" bag. It's not meant to last for the next 100 years in a landfill either. The bags are on a roll, all attached to one another with a perforated seam at the top. Their easy to pull apart. If your looking for something that can handle being overfilled with heavy objects like glass bottles and extremes of that nature; this probably isn't the bag for you. They work for us and I will continue to purchase."

"just pulling the partially full bag out of my metal kitchen container made several holes in the first bag i've used! stuff was falling out as i put it in the outside can... i had to pick up orange peels, avocado pits, egg shells and a plastic containers from Trader Joe's of the porch & outside on my way back inside.
Love that it is compostable, which is why i purchased them... but it has to be sturdy and thick enough to hold the garbage!
Total Rip-Off-surprised this inferior product exists... and that Viticost carries it. Don't Buy! if you want your garbage to remain in a bag, not on the floor & driveway, dropping as you go to empty it."
